Our Story

Emma searched and searched for a New Zealand-style childrens DVD for her 3 year old son Connor to watch.

She really wanted to find something educational, fun and with a unique New Zealand influence. She searched high and low, ‘surely there will be something out there to show them what we have and how to look after it! ’ But no, mostly all she could find were 'cutesy-kiddie' type animations and non-kiwi, big budget films. Connor was very upset, and it got his Mum thinking.

She thought, ‘we live in the most beautiful country, it has stunning scenery and unique creatures – our children have to have the opportunity to see all this and learn from it! ’

So a wee while later in 2007... Kindle Films Limited was born. It is of course 100% New Zealand owned and operated, and directed by Emma Heke.

After a great deal of study, hard work and kiwi ingenuity Emma has delivered this magnificent educational DVD for our Kiwi children... OURS®.
